Frequently Asked Questions

Planning for the

Wedding Weekend Questions

What date should I RSVP by?

Please RSVP as soon as you can, but last RSVPs will be accepted until September 15. Please reach out with any questions regarding this.

When should I plan to be in town?

Most of our guests are not local to Newburyport. The wedding ceremony is the first event and will take place at 4PM on Friday, November 1st. We recommend you arrive before that, preferably the night before. But if you do fly in day of into Boston Logan, we suggest your flight arrives at least by 12PM that day to be able to make the ceremony on time.

Will transportation be provided to and from the hotel, ceremony and reception? Should I rent a car for the weekend?

No transportation will be provided. But if you are staying local to downtown Newburyport or driving in, everything is accessible via walking. If you are staying the weekend, a car is not required but may be helpful depending on what you plan to do. Nothing we will be doing will require car rentals; activities planned will be close enough to Uber or walk to.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Semi-formal. For additional details and outfit inspiration, see our What To Wear section.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors and our reception will be indoors.

What is the weather like in the area?

The average temperature in Newburyport, MA on November 1 the last few years is 54°F, with a high of 63°F and a low of 41°F.

Am I allowed to bring my children / a plus one?

Our wedding has a small guest list of close friends and family, so anyone not included on the invite list (the names on the envelopes) is not invited. If you have any questions, please reach out to us for clarity.
